Gmail down!!!? How can the world function without Google

From about 10a EST until about noon today gmail was unavailable. At first I thought it was just me, but then I realized it was really Google having technical issues.

This got me to thinking “what would the world do without Google?”
Here are some thoughts:
- Those of us that rely on searching the internet for finding answers for work would need to use yahoo, dogpile or even Microsoft Live Search. Whoa, what a struggle. ;)
- People would have to deal with not being able to access their email. Oh my goodness, how can we go on…
- We might actually READ something OTHER THAN an article off of the internet. Something like… the Bible? I mean, we all know that no one ever has any time to read the Bible because we need to read the news on the internet right? Ok, that was a heavy convicting thought, but I couldn’t resist.
- Google would stop making millions off of ads. Not that I’m against that or anything… it’s a brilliant idea.
- We might just talk to someone in our family rather than sitting right next to each other while surfing Google looking for the answer to something on our mind?
You got any other ideas?
