Stopping an iPod Touch from opening iPhoto automatically…

I just want to start by saying THANK YOU to Gary Rosenzweig for solving this annoying mystery for me.
His video tutorial on macmost.com answers this question perfectly.  I would highly suggest signing up for his podcast.

Question:
When I attach my iPod Touch or iPhone to my Mac, iPhoto opens automatically… how do I prevent this?  Also, I still want to sync photos from a folder which is an option in iTunes.

Answer:

  1. Open [Image Capture].
  2. Go to preferences.
  3. Choose [No Application] from the list.

The previous steps work regardless of whether or not the iPod or iPhone is set to sync photos from a folder.
